Warm photos tend to sit best on the darker looks, since Forest and Cranberry push the oranges forward. Harvest paper suits soft, cream-toned photos and anything you plan to print.

Four vertical photos fill a phone screen best, at 93.9%. Six gives more even sizes: the smallest photo is 668 pixels on its short side, against 434 with four. The dashed guides show where the clock and swipe bar usually sit, so keep faces clear of them. At the largest setting the wallpaper is 1890 × 4096.
Fall photos worth collecting
- One wide shot for every close-up. A road of red maples next to a single leaf in a hand reads better than six wide views.
- Something warm to hold. Cider, a pie crust, a sweater sleeve.
- The same tree, three weeks apart. Green, gold, bare. This makes a simple three-photo row.
- People doing something. Picking apples, carving a pumpkin, raking leaves into a pile and jumping in.
- A low angle. Shoot from the ground up through the leaves, or down on boots in a leaf pile.
Keep it from looking busy
Autumn photos are full of detail and strong color, so a fall collage can get loud quickly. Give it room: raise Spacing under Frames, and keep stickers to one or two. Use one photo with a calm background as the largest. If your photos clash, open a photo in the Photo tab and try a warmer filter on the odd one out.
Words for a fall collage
Short lines read best on a phone: “Sweater weather”, “Hello, fall”, “Falling for you”, “Pumpkin season” or simply the year. Add one in Style for a title across the top, or use Text & decor to place it anywhere.
