How to make a photo grid
Add your photos and the photo grid is built for you: keep Classic grid selected and set Grid columns in the Layout tab, or leave it on Automatic. Change spacing and the outer margin in Frames, choose Full photo or Fill frame, then download. The last row stretches across the full width, so an uneven number of photos still makes a complete photo grid.

Make a photo grid in four steps
- Add your photosThey fill the grid in the order you add them; 4, 6, 9, 12 and 16 photos make even rows.
- Set the columnsIn Layout, choose Grid columns, or keep Automatic to balance the rows and columns of your photo grid.
- Tune spacing and cropIn Frames, set Spacing and Outer margin. Select a photo to crop it or swap its position.
- Download the photo gridPick Square, 4:5 or 3:2 above the canvas, then save the photo grid as a PNG or JPG.

Full photo or Fill frame
Grid cells all have the same shape. Full photo keeps every edge of a photo, so tall and wide photos leave some space around them. Fill frame covers each cell and crops the edges; drag a photo to choose what stays visible. Read more about keeping photos complete.
Why use a photo grid
A photo grid gives every picture the same weight, so it suits product shots, recipe steps and trip highlights. Because every photo grid cell has the same shape, the whole page looks calm even with mixed photos.
Keep faces away from the edges
The editor does not detect faces or text. Preview each photo, and use Full photo for screenshots or documents where the edges matter.

Can I make a 2×2 or 4×4 grid?
Yes. Add 4 or 16 photos and set Grid columns to 2 or 4. Any number of columns from 1 to 8 is available.
Can I remove the gaps in my photo grid?
Yes. In Frames, set Spacing to 0. Set Outer margin to 0 to remove the border around the whole grid.
What if my photos have different shapes?
Choose Fill frame to crop them into matching cells, or use Natural rows in Layout to keep each photo’s own shape.
Can I change the order of the photos?
Yes. Drag thumbnails in the strip below the canvas, or select a photo and use Swap to trade places with another.
Which photo grid size should I use for social media?
Use 1:1 for a square post or 4:5 for a portrait post. The Instagram collage maker has these sizes ready.
